Three of us stayed for 2 nights in spring while the weather was cool. The sheperd's hut is one of 3 on site - well spaced - along with several lodges all located off a gravel drive and surrounded by a large expanse of grass bordered by shrubs. The site is accessed through a substantial wooden electric gate from the main road - which makes for a very secure setting. Plus points: * well equipped - including good quality knives (in wooden block) & 2 ring induction hob * very well insulated (warm & quiet) * easy walk from Hassocks station * lovely walk to Jack & Jill windmills at top of the Downs * attractive site * remote key fob for electric gate * fresh flowers, organic tea * large towels, nice linen * good WiFi Other things: * Quite a lot of road noise from A273 during busy periods daytime * If you are over 6' tall and plan to use a single bed thene expect your feet to stick out uncovered, as the banquette & duvet are short. I would definitely stay again.

This was a perfect place to stay after a day on the downs. the bed was super comfy, it was great to get a hot shower and Pauline left lots of breakfast bits in the cabin.

Lovely stay for a few nights. The orchard is beautiful and completely enclosed even for our small dog (and child) so we could let him run around. Next to a quiet road, with occasional cars, the area is peaceful with the sounds of birds and occasionally the cows. We loved having the dining hut too so we could spread out a bit and toast marshmallows. Our five year old loved Dinosaur Island in the nearby country park and paddling in the lake there. We also had a wonderful day out on the Bluebell railway. Great short trip!

Absolutely perfect! The shepherds hut was really great, very cosy, comfortable and had everything we needed for a 2 night stay, although we could have definitely stayed for longer! The hot tub was the highlight, very easy to use, in a private and secluded location with a nice view and fairy lights for when it gets dark. Emma provided great instructions to find the property, despite needing to pass through the farm it was made so easy! 100% recommend!

We loved at our time in the Shepherd’s hut. The inside is super cosy and more roomy than you’d expect! Cathy was a great host, really responsive and flexible, with some great recommendations. The hut was well stocked with all the bits we needed as was the outdoor kitchen! There are also really lovely pubs nearby for tasty food! You can access lots of great walks just from your doorstep which we loved, Couldn’t recommend this enough for a cosy weekend away from it all!

We stayed for the weekend for my husband’s 40 birthday and what a weekend we had. There was 8 of us that stayed in total as we hired the Shepherd hut as well (great if someone wants their own space. The cabin was stunning so much bigger and spacious than I expected. We were all really comfortable and enjoyed long walks and family dinners around the big kitchen table. The cabin is in such a great location and only a 5 minute walk into a cute local village. Laura and her family have truly created something so beautiful and very special. We loved waking up every morning to the sights of the alpacas and lots of other wildlife. Laura and her team were always there if we needed them but we have complete privacy at the same time. The hot tub is in a private area and we loved using each night. My 4 year old had the best weekend running free and been able to feed her new furry friends. I truly highly recommend this stay. We can’t wait to book and return later in the year.

Bluebell shepherds’ hut was lovely. Exactly like the photos with a great outdoor space. Perfect for glamping and enjoying the outdoors with comfort. Maddy the cocker spaniel was a highlight! There were a lot of walking paths nearby and you could quickly feel like you were fully in nature. We were initially wary of the outdoor shower but there was plenty of hot water, privacy and it was easy to use.

My son and I had a wonderful stay. It was just what we needed; relaxing, beautiful surroundings and very close to the beach. Tim was a great host and we will definitely return.

Elaine and Bruce were fantastic hosts and truly made us feel at home. We arrived and the BBQ was fully set up ready to use and the beautiful Shepherd's Hut was immaculately clean and comfortable. They were always on hand to help with any questions we had and were thoroughly welcoming and accommodating. We would certainly recommend to others!!

just spent time at Priory Snug.and what a little gem. everything was immaculate and the snug was very easy to find. very peaceful and quiet. only a short way from arundel and all the attractions there. really had an amazing time. we will be back

This was a return visit ,The Hut is beautifully looked after!! the goodies that are left you are first class just like everything else!! The location for me is perfect !! great walking ,5 mins in the car and you are in Beautiful Bosham or Emsworth and by bus 15 mins Chichester The view from Hut is trees and fields !! so it is abundant in wildlife!! Very Relaxing !! I will return!!

Me and my partner loved our stay! Tracey was really helpful and very kind - she brought us fresh breakfast every day! For sure worth a visit if you want a peaceful weekend!

We had the most amazing Easter break, the shepherds hut was perfect with such a high spec. Matt and his family were friendly, warm and very welcoming. Nothing was ever too much of a problem with great recommendations of walks and local attractions. We would definitely come back again, thanks Matt 😊

We had an amazing time staying in Graffham. The location is perfect with lots of marked public footpaths on site to explore and the farm itself is also lovely. There were horses and lambs right outside our door! The Shepard’s hut is cosy and romantic inside, and the bed is extremely soft and comfortable. Although it’s small, the space is used very efficiently. We loved the outdoor area which was enclosed for our dog, and we also enjoyed using the fire pit and looking out over the fields. I couldn’t recommend this accommodation highly enough. Although we had no reason to contact the host throughout our stay, there was lots of information about the hut and local area left for us in a booklet.

I stayed here with my son for 4 nights.Isobel was really welcoming, warm and friendly. It’s a beautiful place within nature. I highly recommend this peaceful Shepards Hut retreat with everything you need within it. The plunge pool was a real highlight for my son 😊

We had a wonderful weekend at Katie's shepherds hut - it was absolutely idyllic and we will definitely be back. Katie was also extremely generous with the delicious food and drink provided in the shepherds hut for us to use including delicious eggs from her chickens. Thank you so much!

What a wonderful stay! Perfect 24hours off grid in such a peaceful location. Jennifer's husband met us on arrival and kindly reconfirmed the directions to the place. They really thought of everything to make it such a lovely stay - board games, toiletries, pre built fire pit and stocked up wood, and even milk in the fridge to make a cuppa! The little things went a long way :) We will definitely be back x

Gigi is the best Shepherd’s Hut we have stayed in by far! My boyfriend and I have stayed in 5 huts so far, and Fiona had been the BEST host we have come across. She really is the Hostess with the Mostess! She has thought about absolutely everything, from breakfast goodies to toiletries, she really has nailed it. The views of this shepherd’s hut are nothing short of beautiful. We were so lucky to catch the cows in the field directly in front who provide endless entertainment, and donkeys to the right. This really is the best of both worlds. We made the absolute most of the lovely firepit too. Fiona, you are hands down the best host we have come across. Anyone thinking about staying here will not be let down.

Emma was great . Although we didn't have face to face contact ( none needed) she was very quick to respond to our few queries about the local area via messaging.

We have just got home after an absolutely wonderful weekend in the shepherds hut at Lycia and Michael’s. Perfectly placed for walking into Goodwood but I will be looking for an excuse to come back and stay again. All the extra touches just made it even more special. Can’t recommend highly enough.

We stayed for two nights at the cosy retreat The home itself was beautiful, well equipped and very comfortable Donna met us at the meeting point and showed us round the area and gave us local recommendations for places to go. The home had lovely heating, a great shower, fully equipped kitchen and lots more to enjoy The home was comfortable and the outside area was amazing I really recommend staying here and would 100% go back to stay again, I loved my weekend away and the home was beautiful Thank you Donna
