We received a very warm welcome from Fiona when we arrived, the ‘check-in’ was smooth, clear and friendly and we immediately felt at home. The house is exceptional quality, located in a beautiful spot, drivable to local villages and also well located for easy motorway access. All rooms in the house are really well appointed with plenty of space for our family, including kids. We appreciated the little touches Fiona added, such as home baked goods, jams, eggs and chocolate. The house was perfect for our long weekend in the area, and we fully recommend this house to others - we would certainly like to return again.

Had a great visit! Very fortunate for John to be understanding and allow us to film our final student short film. John was always very quick to answer any questions, he was very understanding of filming which is always appreciated. The location was beautiful with some lovely surrounding scenery. Perfect for a peaceful getaway.

Had a really love stay at this property for a hen do. Really scenic location, host was welcoming and very friendly. Gave clear instructions on where to park, plenty of car parking spaces. It is on a steep hill, so just something to bear in mind. House was lovely and clean and had everything we needed! Beds were super comfy too! Thanks again Sara! x

Very pleasant host, willing to help. Some negotiation about our dogs, which was resolved. We particularly liked having our own access door to the annex room. The room had everything required and a very comfy bed.

We loved our stay at Swallows Nest. A tranquil, peaceful stay which allowed us to remove ourselves from our busy lives for a few days and enjoy the quiet. Slaithwaite has loads to offer too in terms of good restaurants & nice walks… all in such a picturesque spot too. Everything in the cottage was top standard. Clean. Comfy beds. The shower is great and the bath is huge! Our daughter very much enjoyed her relaxing baths every evening. The kitchen had everything we needed and more. Rumpus is a must visit in town for the most delicious burgers using beef from the cattle at Sally’s farm. Thank you Sally for such a wonderful stay.

We had a great stay at the property—it was clean, comfortable, and exactly as described. Communication with the host was smooth throughout. After our stay, we realized we had accidentally left an item behind, and the host was kind enough to arrange to send it back to us. We covered the postage costs, but really appreciated their help. Would happily stay again!

Angela's Mallard Cottage is spectacular! A four-storey beautiful, welcoming house that provided everything we needed for a special birthday celebration. We had ample space with the choice of comfortable bedrooms, the relaxing living room, a well-stocked kitchen space, and ambient garden with hot tub and bird song overlooking the trees and sunny skies. We couldn't have wanted for more! We loved the duck themed decor and the little touches everywhere to welcome us - the generous basket of food and drinks, a birthday card and chocolates, dressing gowns and slippers. What made it extra sweet was the fact we had our previously booked property cancelled at short notice that morning and so Angela and her team pulled out all of the stops to get the cottage prepared for us in a few hours. It saved the day and meant we'll always have beautiful memories of the weekend spent with old friends, in the cottage and the surrounding hillside walks.

We had a great stay in the Threshing Barn at Fall Head Farm over the Easter holidays. We were 6 adults, 3 children and 2 dogs and we had plenty of space. The barn is modern and well kitted out, the beds are comfy and the view from the garden is wonderful. The hot tub is a lovely addition. Emma is an exceptional host - friendly, helpful and nothing is too much trouble. She even gave us some delicious, fresh eggs for lunch one day - which was so lovely of her (and they were delicious). There is a brilliant mountain biking track very close by (my nephews spent a lot of time in the woods there!), and lots of beautiful walks directly from the front door. Emma provides useful information upon arrival, including some recommendations of things to do. We enjoyed lunch at the Fountain in Ingbirchworth, and a walk around the reservoir there. Overall, we had a great stay as a large family and would recommend a stay here.

The place was stunning amazing scenery the host was so helpful throughout our stay and the cottages was beautiful inside and out the decor was stunning bathrooms kitchen very modern wish we could of stayed longer had a great family time xx

The hayloft is a very comfortable, light apartment with incredible views. A great place to stay when exploring beautiful Marsden. Peter could not have been more helpful. We really appreciated a lift up the hill with our backpacks and fresh eggs from the family chickens.

We had a lovely stay, beautiful Air B&B with all the essentials (including milk in the fridge!) we needed so it felt like a home from home. Lovely and comfortable too. Philippa was so accommodating with high chair and offer of a cot and it made our trip with our little bubba so much easier. We would absolutely visit again and it was lovely to get to meet our hosts too - thanks again for a fabulous stay.

The piggery was a lovely little find ,breathtaking views , tranquility,lovely to watch in the evening as all the lights come on in the valley,and count the stars , all in all a great stay thanks Barry for the chat ,and Bosco for the cuddles

Such a beautiful place! Very cosy, had everything we needed and Helen was also very helpful, will definitely return and also recommend to family and friends!

Beautiful house and spotlessly clean. Great location close to Penistone with lots of pubs nearby. We felt at home and Kay was always responsive and helpful.

lovely cottage and amazing location

We stayed in Cheryl's airbnb over our wedding weekend. It was the most beautiful place to get ready in, so much natural light and finished to such a high standard. With it being our wedding weekend, we had lots of questions beforehand for Cheryl, she was really responsive and so helpful. We honestly couldn't have asked for anymore. Thank you so much for such a beautiful stay!

The house was even nicer than the pictures, absolutely perfect for my hen party! The bar was such a cute add on. Each bedroom had its own en-suite and between 12 of us we had so much space. The only downside was an issue getting hot water, after 3 of us showered we had to wait quite a while for hot water. That been said, a cold shower was great for shaking the hangover off. Could not recommend this house more.

Had a fab stay here! Everything you need. Its very spacious and the hottub is lovely we saw a deer whilst in the hottub one afternoon. Hosts were extremely helpful lovely people would definitly stop again :)

Lovely stay here with family for big birthday celebrations. Stunning house and views - matched the pictures! Very clean and cozy and perfect for a family with children as plenty of toys inside and out and very child friendly. Unfortunately hot tub wasn't working but Adam kept me in the loop whilst trying to fix it the week before and was very apologetic. Lovely host, very responsive and helpful. Didn't realise the host and his family actually live there and move out during bookings but it made it all the more homely! Would happily stay there again 🙂

Der Aufenthalt in dieser Ferienwohnung war wirklich phantastisch. Alles sehr schön und geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Die Wohnung ist perfekt ausgestattet. Alles sinnvoll Benötigt war da. In sehr hoher Qualität und wirklich extrem sauber und gepflegt. (Kein überflüssiger oder störender Schnickschnack). Das Bett war das Beste an das ich mich in über dreißig Jahren "auf Reisen" erinnern kann. Sogar waschen und trocknen kann man beinahe kostenlos, was für professionell Reisende wie mich bei längeren Aufenthalten von unschätzbarem Wert ist. (Wer sitzt schon gerne am Wochenende stundenlang im Waschsalon)? Die Lage ist ebenfalls sehr schön und lädt nach der Arbeit zu Spaziergängen in die Landschaft ein. Nachts ist es sehr hier ruhig und leise. Nichts stört einen erholsamen Schlaf. Alles zusammen ein perfekter Aufenthalt. Sehr empfehlenswert für Einzelpersonen oder Paare, die einen angenehmen Aufenthalt in einer wirklich schön eingerichtet und sehr gut ausgestatteten Wohnung in der Nähe von Huddersfield verbringen möchten.

me and my partner stayed at the couples cottage, it was exactly what we where expecting. really good comfy bed, lovely on-suite bathroom, great equipped kitchen and an amazing decking area outside with a huge hot tub. even the sheep came to say hi once in a while. The views where beautiful, and hopefully we get to come visit again soon.
