Built from recycled materials, a repurposed spiral staircase takes you up the multiple levels of The Treehouse to a secluded living space nestled between the trees. We welcome you to reconnect with nature at this unforgettable escape. We are surrounded by native bush and farmland, with hiking tracks on the door step. There are no shops once you leave Stratford or Taumarunui, so please ensure you have enough food for your stay. Also there is no cellphone coverage( but starlink is connected). This lovely villa was built in the early 1900’s by the McCluggage Family, who operated sawmills in the area. Their endeavors included the construction of a tunnel, in 1924, at the rear of the property to provide access to timber on the Whangamomona Saddle where it still remains today. Mill House is a fully furnished, four bedroom/one bathroom home that comfortably sleeps eight. Whether you are travelling through or looking to getaway, Mill House can provide you with tranquility and relaxation.
