Awesome place! Super spacious and the Sauna was wonderful. Definitely would recommend as a cozy cabin stay in the winter and I can only imagine how beautiful it would be in the summer. Thanks again for the lovely stay!

Such a great spot! Quiet, cozy and straight forward with everything needed for a relaxing and genuine rural Canada experience. A perfect place for a couple to get away and enjoy! Highly recommended!

Nous avons passé un excellent week-end avec des amis, la saison ne nous a pas permis d'exploiter tout le potentiel du chalet mais nous avons quand même pu faire du canoë sur le lac. Le chalet est assez spacieux pour 8 personnes et très agréable à vivre ! Julie est une hôte accommodante et très réactive. Nous la remercions encore de nous avoir accueillis si gentiment dans son chalet familial.

I had a fabulous time staying at The Nellie. Surrounded by the entrancing Gatineau River, The Nellie is an ideal place for those looking for a secluded escape. The Gatineau River essentially creates an archipelago, with countless islands to photograph and explore. Lac-Sainte-Marie is accessible by canoe or kayak, though I would recommend bringing a physical map and compass to avoid getting lost. The Nellie is a perfect option for those who want a unique, rustic experience. Keep in mind, there's no electricity or running water, so plan your meals accordingly. Extremely charming nonetheless. If you are less comfortable with a canoe/kayak I would recommend staying at The Dragon. Transportation to either location is available. I didn't meet Bonnie or Jaques, but I did meet Andrew! He was respectful and punctual, very communicative and easy-going. He's a really solid dude. I will plan my next trip to The Nellie in the near future. I already miss it!

This is the nicest Airbnb I've stayed at in years. Alain & Paola are one of the few remaining hosts that care about the small details and personalized touch. The place was super clean, and I'm someone with high standards. The personalized message, guestbook and coffee, tea etc. I was very happy I could being my dog as well! She loved the outdoor space to run around. I'd stay there again!

Chantyle's cottage was a great find for our family. While it was basic and nothing fancy but that is just what our family loves. We basically only need a spot to sleep and cook, other then that we are outside enjoying the nature we are surrounded by, and this spot was perfect The beach was perfect for swimming, crystal clear, and shallow so the kids could walk out for quite some distance. On top of the beautiful area and comfortable rustic cabin we were greeted by a very friendly, accommodating, and very helpful campground manager Phil and his wife Tanya. Helped us with things we needed right away and gave us suggestions on places to check out that our kids ended up loving....overall amazing experience thanks for having our family stay it was a great location and great place. friendly seasonal campers as well. our family will definitely be back ?

Kelly’s place felt like Grandma’s Cottage, in all of the best ways possible. It felt like a home away from home. Everything is well thought out, with touches of vintage decor and boardgames. It felt like a blast from my childhood and was really special watching my son play with toys I would have played with as a young kid. My whole family felt comfortable and thoroughly enjoyed the hot tub, bonfires and cute town of Wakefield. We would definitely recommend and would rent again! Thanks so much Kelly for your wonderful hospitality!

The host greeted us upon arrival and had the wood stove already fired up so that the cabin was very cozy for us. Beautiful scenery, easy water access and walking trails close by. A lovely rustic cabin getaway to recharge from the chaos of society with just the right amount of convenient amenities. Will stay again!!

A great stay! My partner, my dog, and I have been coming to The Lodge for 4 years now and it’s always a fantastic time. It is a perfect and cozy winter stay. We loving coming back to Golden Lake year after year for The Lodge but also because Cindy is such a wonderful host. She is very responsive with any questions or concerns. 10/10 would recommend :)

Our family had a wonderful stay. The stunning views are even better than the pictures. The kids loved both the outdoor and indoor activities, with canoeing and local attractions being the highlights for us. Hosts Cindy and Mike were extremely helpful, offering excellent recommendations and exceeding our expectations. The place had a welcoming vibe. Highly recommended—a hidden gem.

Lovely cozy cottage along the water. Enjoyable spot to hang by the fire pit on the beach. Very comfortable and quaint cabin with a well stocked kitchen. Would recommend for nice little getaway.

This home was beautiful with a view to die for. Looking out on the frozen bay, playing pond hockey out there and coming back in to get warm by the fireplace and place some games with the family. It was a peaceful space for our family to spend some much needed time together. It’s so close to the Sens rink and avoids the commute out of the city. Absolutely beautiful area and a truly unique house with a master sanctuary and space for the kids upstairs! Can’t wait visit in warmer weather and make use of that incredible terrace patio with pool and beach!

Cindy und Desmond waren sehr freundliche und proaktive Gastgeber und haben uns einige Tipps und Wanderrouten für die Umgebung geschickt. Die Unterkunft war sehr sauber, gut ausgestattet und wirklich gemütlich. Vor allem die Küche hatte alles, was wir zum Kochen vor Ort benötigten. Die Lage am See ist atemberaubend und der Algonquin Nationalpark ist gut mit dem Auto zu erreichen. Es hat uns wirklich sehr gut gefallen und wir wären am liebsten noch länger geblieben.

Arda is a gracious host. She is very welcoming and attentive to your needs. She is very flexible with check in and checking out. She is very friendly. I enjoy coming back every year!

This is our second time staying with Bri and Devin, and we absolutely loved it. Bri and Devin are friendly, responsive, proactive and thoughtful. And their cottage is a dream that you can call a home away from home!! We definitely plan to stay again in the future!

Есть камин , можно насладиться прекрасной атмосферой. Внутри нас ждал сюрприз много вкусняшек и видов кофе и чая. Отдых был сказочным. Дженифер невероятно приятная и отзывчивая.Планируем сюда вернуться опять.

Nancy's place was absolutely wonderful for our little fall vacation! the views were stunning. The big windows in the living room and bedroom were amazing for looking out over the water to the beautiful fall colours. We did the hike at Deacon's and it was gorgeous too. Thank you for the recommendation! The beach is lovely - I put my feet in. I think it would be great for a swim in the summer! Nancy was very quick to respond and helped us with anything we needed. thanks again for an amazing weekend!

We had an enjoyable Thanksgiving. The house is spacious and clean, with a workable kitchen. The backyard is big in size and has lots of activities.

This property was a perfect for a weekend getaway with family. It was conveniently located near the local ski hill with a small grocery store, gas station and LCBO just steps away. The local snow removal service kept our driveway clear during this very snowy weekend. The property was immaculate, with plenty of space for our group of nine, with five kids.

Le séjour s’est extrêmement bien déroulé. Attention toutefois à bien programmer son GPS à l’avance pour ne pas se retrouver perdu sur la route, sans réseau ! D’ailleurs, les hôtes vous le feront savoir et vous recommanderont de faire vos emplettes avant de venir, car c’est littéralement « perdu » avec les premières villes à 30mn de route. C’est absolument parfait : loin de tout, calme, au milieu de la nature ! L’observation du ciel étoilé le soir est aisée. La journée, il convient d’écouter le battement des ailes des oiseaux ou le cri d’un animal au loin, au bord du lac. Cet endroit est vraiment reposant, paisible et c’est une sorte de petit paradis perdu dans l’Ontario. Nous avons vraiment adoré ! Et c’était sans compter sur les petites attentions de Kim et Dave : eau fraîche et dégustation des breuvages locaux.

I would come back here with friends and family for a getaway or special celebration any day! They know what you want to have fun and relax, and the set up makes it easy to slip right into vaycay mode - with a view to boot! But that sandy walk out to the river with the bright view from inside - beautiful. Thank you!
