The Old Reading Room West Stafford, Dorset.

The Victorian Reading Room of West Stafford is of historical importance. Used before the war as a Reading Room for the villagers and estate workers, the newspapers were provided, the village shop in the late 1930s, then a workshop and a store room for the church. We have now lovingly restored, decorated and furnished this amazing building into a cosy self catering holiday retreat, "far from the madding crowd" Open plan, comfy double sofabed, wood burner, country walks and fabulous village pub.

Falcons Nest

Lovely self contained annexe set in the beautiful surroundings of the Jurassic coast. There is a cosy double bedroom with a king size bed (which can be set up as 2 x 2ft 6 singles), shower room and a well equipped kitchen/dining/living room which has a sofa bed. The property has its own pretty courtyard garden and off road parking for one car. The annexe is part of our main house although completely self contained and therefore you may occasionally be aware of the normal sounds of family life

Cosy Purbeck Cottage on the Jurassic Coast

We fully renovated this cosy, two bedroom cottage to create a warm, welcoming space where the only sounds you’ll hear are the tweeting of birds and crackle of the newly fitted wood burning stove. The cottage has a king, a twin room and a sofa bed in the lounge so is flexible with accommodating various set ups. The location is just about as good as it gets. It’s a 10 min walk along the stunning River Frome into Wareham and a stone’s throw from all major tourist attractions on the Purbecks.

The Barn is a converted property located at the head of the stunning Tarrant valley within the Cranborne Chase Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The main living area has dual aspect and bifold doors out onto an enclosed patio, garden and seating area. One of 2 huts, each with off road parking and shared access path down steps to private facilities. Located in a secluded spot behind our family home. A fully self contained hut including a double bed, kitchen with multi cooker, wood burner and en-suite bathroom including hot shower and state of the art composting toilet. Small enclosed garden; dog friendly.

Godwin's cottage is a stunning refurbished 18th Century thatched cottage. Although attached to the main property, it has its own private entrance, private roof terrace and large fenced garden area with private Hot Tub & BBQ, so plenty of space to spread out and relax, whether it's al fresco breakfast in the morning or an evening dip in Hot Tub watching the sun set over fields. We also have outbuildings which can store bikes or if required.

Come and stay in our newly renovated annex. It offers one double bedroom, a shower room, a well equiped kitchen, and a spacious lounge and dining area. It is light and airy with a modern, cosy feel. Coombe Keynes is 7 miles from Wareham and a short drive from the Jurassic coast. The next village of Wool offers everyday essentials, and there are a number of local pubs offering excellent food.
