We had such a great stay! The property was perfect for our family getaway—our kids especially loved the trampoline and the hot tub (they barely wanted to come inside!). Our Doberman, Lincoln, had the best time playing fetch in the large open space—it was such a treat to find a spot that’s truly dog-friendly. Melissa was a delightful host—super responsive and thoughtful. She even set up a fun scavenger hunt for the kids to find hidden gnomes around the property, which they absolutely loved. It’s little touches like that that made our stay really special. We’d love to come back again. Highly recommend!

This is my second stay at the historic mansion. I wrote a glowing review on my previous stay and our current stay did not disappoint. If you are looking for a high end AirBNB this is the place. Accommodations as in our prior visit were excellent, beddings were very comfortable and the home itself is well laid out and roomy. Sue our host was kind enough to provide plenty of firewood so we could avail ourselves to the outdoor fire pit where we were able to roast marshmallows for the young ones. Sue also contacted me and advised the home was ready for check in at an earlier time making our check in much more convenient. We look forward to staying here again on our next visit to Yuba City.

Beautiful stay with everything you may need and then some! We really enjoyed our time and it worked well for visiting nearby family as well as visiting the Oroville dam visitors center and the downtown area. Thank you for sharing your home with us!

Scott's house in Nevada is the gold standard for what AirBnB experiences should be like. Our family has stayed in many an AirBnB, and this house definitely ranks in the top 3. The house itself is immaculate and at the same time incredibly warm. They layout is perfect -- large kitchen for the many meals we cooked, separate study/TV room, HUGE master bedroom, spacious upper floor, and 2 extremely clean bathrooms (one with massive tub). What we appreciated most was that each room had it's own vibe. Many homes these days have an open layout which is great, but having separate areas where eating, reading, TV, gaming can take place simultaneously without the accompanying noisy chaos is rare -- and this is what Scott's house offers. Also, the proximity to downtown Nevada City is perfect. It's advertised as a 15 minute walk, but it's really closer to 10 or less. And Nevada City is a California gem....one of our favorite towns. Net net....perfect experience and we'll be back!

This was the perfect place for a group. We celebrated Christmas in the 4 bed 2 bath country home. We loved the fire pit and natural surroundings. Everything was spotless and high quality. Huge laundry room and most of the rooms are large. Oscar’s hospitality was excellent and we couldn’t be happier. A good value if you want to get away in the Northern California countryside.

We fell in love with this quiet little slice of peacefulness. The house feels secluded but we could still access Doordash and Instacart. The walk to the lake/waterfall is not accessible for the disabled and we weren't allowed to drive there. That was the only major disappointment.

Awesome place, nicely laid out with lots of space, and a very comfy bed! I hope to stay here again soon.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The place is clean and has nice accomodations and games for families. The host is very responsive and helpful as well.

Place Was clean and so colorful inside. Very roomy. We didn’t have a problem with letting our kid walk the whole house multiple times. Since he’s an explorer. The host is Very responsive. Would definitely stay here again.

This home was a fantastic place to stay, clean, well-appointed, and full of charm. The bed was especially cozy, making it easy to relax after a full day out. While parking took a little extra effort, the unbeatable location made it well worth it. I’d gladly return!

Lorrie was very kind and helped me get into the door with the code. She also had people on site who assisted me. It was a great deal and I enjoyed my brief stay while up there working. The place was clean and in a central location to my job site. I appreciated their hospitality and assistance getting me inside. I highly recommend this Airbnb host! Thank you!

Lorri is an amazing host. She is extremely responsive and kind. We had an issue getting into the gate. She had it fixed within seconds. She goes above and beyond for her guests. Cute spot. It was the perfect rest stop for our road trip.

2nd time there in the past several months. Love it as a little retreat to sit around and play my guitar all day.

The cabin was very cute and fun, especially with the fireplace to tend to (during winter months), beautiful surroundings, and it was fun to see the chickens and goats on the property. There are plenty of hiking trails in the area, and it is quick to get back into town. They were also kind in their provisions- we got some beautiful fresh laid eggs! We also very much enjoyed the outdoor bathtub. Highly recommend

We waren op zoek naar stilte en rust. Dat hebben we bij Max en Meela gevonden. Wat een pracht van natuur rondom hun huis. Er waren Pauwen, kippen en twee lieve honden. Heel fijn dat we hun keuken en specerijen konden gebruiken. En het dek was een ideale plek om van de stilte te genieten. Wel fijn dat er geweldige wifi was. Dat maakte onze zoektocht in de omgeving makkelijk. Bedankt voor jullie gastvrijheid!!

We stayed here for our honeymoon and absolutely loved it! We were impressed by the craftsmanship of the home and deck (we both have construction backgrounds). It was very private and peaceful. Beautiful views of tall oaks around the deck. Hosts were very sweet and responsive. We frequently use air bnb and this was one of the best locations we have ever stayed at. Very close to downtown Nevada City and great dining/small shops. But our favorite part was just enjoying time using the spa amenities and unplugging. Host provided slippers and a speaker for spa which was great. We even got some sweet snuggles from their orange cat Ginger who checked in on us (which we loved). The only downside was that the next day was already booked and we couldn’t stay longer. Looking forward to an extended visit here in the future.

The place was perfect for a weekend getaway and we truly enjoyed our stay. The creek is beautiful and the deck is perfect to hang out on while listening to nature. The hot tub was so relaxing. The place is at a perfect location to get to the heart of Nevada City by walking making getting places so easy. It was so clean and comfortable. We did have to move some of the decor so our toddler couldn’t access it (and break it) but we did and all was well!

Great place to go to retreat from the world, read, hike, reset, detox your mind, look at the stars, etc. etc. Highly recommend to those who live in urban areas and wanna try something new

Property is honestly even more beautiful and serene than the pictures. We rented it for a bachelor party, and it was perfect. Great property for a large family getaway, as well. Had some minor trouble with the door code, but Laura was in immediate contact to help. Will likely rent again!
