The Old Reading Room West Stafford

The Victorian Reading Room of West Stafford is of historical importance. Used before the war as a Reading Room for the villagers and estate workers, the newspapers were provided, the village shop in the late 1930s, then a workshop and a store room for the church. We have now lovingly restored, decorated and furnished this amazing building into a cosy self catering holiday retreat, "far from the madding crowd" Open plan, comfy double sofabed, wood burner, country walks and fabulous village pub.

A fully self contained hut including a double bed, kitchen with multi cooker, wood burner and en-suite bathroom including hot shower and state of the art composting toilet. Sit on your secluded decking and watch the steam trains roll by whilst enjoying relaxing drinks and a bbq. On colder days huddle up on the sofa in front of the logburner or wrap up for some glorious local walks. The historic villages of Corfe Castle, Worth Matravers and Kingston are within walking distance of around 30/45 minutes, with lovely pubs at the end!

Totally self-contained, secluded, and away from the coastal crowds, but just 10 mins Bridport & beach. Attention to every detail to give you everything you want, but nothing you don't need.

The Pavilion is a modern, purpose built holiday house in the quiet Somerset village of Yarlington. It has all the conveniences: Wood burning stove, underfloor heating, Washer & tumble dryer, Iron & ironing board, fast fibre optic broadband and a charging station for an electric or plug in hybrid car, but sadly the mobile phone signal is very poor. The house is next to the pub and a stones throw from the church. The Newt and Hauser Wirth Gallery in Bruton are within a 15 minute drive.

You’ll find all you need and more tucked away in this lovely cottage. Whether you’ve come for a beach break or family adventure in Dorset there is a lot to discover nearby. Studland bay is a 10 min drive away and there are a host of walks in the area. Corfe village boasts many pubs, village shops and the historic castle ruin.
