Fish, canoe, swim, explore woods and lakes. Spend your time here or use as basecamp for backcountry trips. See deer, eagles, loons, moose, bear, or hear a wolf howl in the distance. LED lanterns, propane cookstoves and refrigeration, get water from lake, or nearby well. Life on the edge.

Wake up just steps from crystal-clear Burntside Lake at this beautifully renovated lakefront retreat. Set on two private acres with 250 feet of sandy shoreline in a quiet bay, the home offers comfort, privacy, and year-round adventure. Enjoy the flat lakeside lot, beach, docks, patio, fire pit, grill, Adirondack chairs, kayak, canoe, and paddleboard. Riverwood Hideaway

This off-grid, solar powered hideaway is on the Knife River just a few miles outside of Two Harbors, Minnesota. The cabin itself is loaded with comfort. A full kitchen, propane refrigerator, solar powered lights and a gas fireplace/furnace offer the conveniences of home. There is an outhouse and firewood for the outdoor firepit. You will have to bring your own water for drinking, but we provide hand and dish washing water at the sink. We have coffee with pour over utensils, dishes, spices.

We also have an outside hydrant to rinse off your equipment or clean your fish and game. Be on the lookout for Moose, Deer, Bear, Fox, Grouse, and many of birds and listen for an occasional Timber Wolf in the night. Trailer parking is onsite.
