Great location, cozy home! Host was really helpful and friendly. Welcomed us on arrival, made sure everything is good during the stay. The place is near to the city, its walking distance, however if you want, you can even rents bikes, there are lot of rental places around. Everything was amazing. I would highly recommend harshani’s place.

You will enjoy the stay at Nimal. Place is close to Unwatuna beach 20 min walking and almost 7 min by TukTuk. The place is spacious and you can find everything you need. The area is calm, relaxing and safe. Thank you and will definitely come again

Beautiful and peaceful. Very friendly staff. Close to the beaches and only 15 minutes by car to Galle city. Would definitely stay here again.

I really enjoyed my stay in the apartment. It is located on the second floor and has a private entrance. The host was very responsive and provided a blender, a computer desk, and even a scooter. The location is convenient—just a 15-minute walk to the nearest beach and 15-20 minutes to a store, cafés, and a small fruit market for locals. Lakshan was always available, and when the water heater broke, it was repaired very quickly. As is common in Sri Lanka, ants may appear, so they need to be dealt with using repellents. I am very satisfied with my stay. The host was truly attentive and always helped me with any questions I had.

We stayed at Sajeewa’s home for three weeks and could not recommend it enough. It’s spacious, comfortable and clean. The kitchen is sufficiently equipped to cook meals and save money on eating out. The gardens around the house are lush and invite lots of birds for watching in the early mornings. The balcony is such a highlight, it’s serene and peaceful, you could spend hours there chatting, working or simply staring into nature. Sajeewa and his family are so hospitable and very easy to communicate with, they made our stay feel very homely. Local shops are within walking distance and Weligama beach is a 20 minute walk at best. We would definitely stay with Sajeewa again if we’re back in Weligama.

Our stay at Pramod's place with my family was fantastic! He is truly an incredible host, always attentive to our needs and ready to help with anything we required. His kindness and generosity exceeded all expectations, from assisting with our late check-in due to a delayed flight to helping us organize various trips around the area. The apartment is fantastic, always clean and located in a convenient area for any interest. I highly recommend staying with him so an unique experience !

Ein Ort den man nie mehr verlassen möchte... Inmitten eines Waldes, umgeben von einer Vielzahl an Tieren liegt dieses kleine Paradies. Strand, Shops und Restaurants sind fußläufig erreichbar und auch wirklich gut. Gerne haben wir im Cool Place lokale Gerichte gegessen und direkt daneben auch den Bäcker entdeckt, der dort aus der Backstube heraus sein Brot verkauft (absoluter Geheimtipp). Amila ist einfach immer erreichbar und hilft wo er kann. Ich war mit ihm surfen und er hat für uns einen Tagesausflug in den Regenwald organisiert, auf den er uns sogar begleitet hat. Der Fahrer war ein Goldstück und hat unzählige Male für uns angehalten, damit wir Fotos machen konnten. Amila ist zu einem guten Freund geworden und wir vermissen ihn und das Banana Leaf House schon jetzt.

It was a great location, and Milan and his wife were amazing. They helped us with so many suggestions and recommendations. I would stay here again.

We (family of four with young kids) came across this house and loved it, but it didn’t have a bed for our one year old daughter, so we sent Vic a message and he went out of his way to find one. Great start! When we got there, the house was even better than the pictures give away: private villa on the quiet outskirts of Ahangama, but a five minute tuk tuk ride will get you to the town’s centre where all the restaurants and such are. Modern bedrooms, each with their own bathroom, nice kitchen and living room, beautiful pool, huge patio with a roof over it, monkeys in the trees in the morning etc. etc. I contacted Vic several times during our stay and always got quick replies with great advice - places to eat, tuk tuk drivers, surf coach and places to see. Would definitely recommend and hope to visit again myself some day!

We traveled as a group of 6 to Villa Acres Green for a one-night getaway. The place was truly beyond our expectations and the pictures don’t do justice to the place! The property is spacious and gives you a sense of seclusion from the rest of the world. The vast garden is scattered with lots of trees, a pond and a well maintained lawn with benches and hammocks for a nice evening chill. The pool is much bigger than you’d expect and was clean. The tiles in the pool are starting to break so a little caution would be advised. We opted to get our food prepared at the property. The BBQ dinner was excellent, but the Sri Lankan breakfast (kiri bath) was only average. It’s possible that the food maybe a hit of miss in our experience. The rooms were nice; spacious and clean! The A/C cooled well which was more than appreciated since the days were scorching! All in all, we had a fantastic experience at the property and would highly recommend it to anyone travelling to Hikkaduwa.

We stayed for 2 weeks at Gayans place, it looks exactly like the pictures with lots of space. The bed is really comfy and the shower has hot water although the pressure is low. Me and my boyfriend both work online, so the desks were great however 10GB of fibre internet was not enough for both of us to work for a full day You do need a bike for the location as there aren’t many restaurants in walking distance. We rented a different one because the bike provided had no mirrors I know this is a family home, however the owners were occasionally cleaning in the garden which made it feel a bit less private at times Overall, I would recommend Gayan’s place, it was great value for money and we had a lovely time in Weligama, thank you ☺️

Thank you so much for your hospitality! The place was really cozy and nice, we loved the balcony surrounded by blooming trees. The hosts were incredible - friendly, responsive. For example, we wanted ab extra key and a fan for the balcony - all of our requests were completely satisfied. It was always clean and neat - cleaning every week with a change of bed linen. The place is close to the main beaches, bus stop and everything you light need. Yard is blooming and big enough for parking 4-5 bikes

Мы провели здесь месяц – это почти идеальное место! Интернет идеальный для работы, в т.ч. с видеозвонками. Удобная кровать с новым матрасом. Ванная комната – восторг! Туалет и душ отделены друг от друга, а горячая вода – это действительно горячая вода в безлимитном количестве и с великолепным напором. На кухне есть все, кроме турки для приготовления кофе, но это мелочь. С собаками мы подружились и часто играли. Они действительно лают, но только когда кто-то приходит, что в нашем случае происходило очень редко. Хозяева – прекрасные люди, общаться по всем вопросам было легко и приятно. Между нашими и соседними апартаментами нет шумоизоляции за счет тонкой двери в смежной стене. Мы сняли и эти апартаменты тоже и использовали их как отдельный рабочий кабинет. Когда на виллу кто-то приезжает, слышно абсолютно все, что происходит на улице в любое время суток. В любом случае моя оценка 10 из 10, потому что все перечисленные плюсы с лихвой компенсируют несущественные недостатки. Спасибо!

처음에 지도가 잘못된 곳으로 인도해줘서 찾기 힘들었지만 이웃의 도움으로 찾을 수 있었습니다. 단독주택으로 독립된 공간 안에 머물 수 있는 점이 좋았습니다. 공간이 넓어서 좋고, 청결하게 유지되고 있으며, 필요한 것들을 갖추고 있습니다. 특히 세탁기를 이용할 수 있어서 좋았는데, 전자레인지가 없는 건 조금 아쉬웠습니다. 호스트가 매우 친절하고 체크인, 체크아웃 할 때 저의 목적지로 라이드도 해줘서 감사했습니다.

Very nice stay with this lovely family! They are very loving and truely cared about me. They made some food and shared it. Everything what I needed was there. Would highly recommend as a homestay.

Wir können das Mango House wärmstens empfehlen! Chanuka und seine Eltern sind sehr herzliche und hilfsbereite Menschen. Es ist nicht selbstverständlich so gute Gastgeber zu finden. Sie haben uns jeden Tag einen Tee oder etwas zu essen gebracht. Trotz aller Hilfsbereitschaft, achten sie aber auch auf die Privatsphäre der Gäste. Das Haus ist wirklich sehr schön und es sieht alles so aus, wie auf den Fotos. Das größere der Schlafzimmer hat eine Klimaanlage und direkten Zugang zur Terrasse. Im zweiten Schlafzimmer und dem Wohnbereich gibt es jeweils einen Deckenventilator. Der Duschbereich ist sehr geräumig und es ist Warmwasser vorhanden. Im Badezimmer befindet sich auch eine Waschmaschine. Falls man mit Mietwagen anreist, gibt es auf dem Grundstück auch die Möglichkeit zu parken. Die Lage des Mango House ist auch ideal, da zentral gelegen. In die Innenstadt, zum Galle Fort oder zum Strand sind jeweils nur 2-3 Kilometer.

"It was a pleasure staying at Mr. Ranjith’s place in Galle. He was a host who showed parental love and care. Their recommendations on places to visit and transportation to use were very accurate. They have a very positive attitude and caring nature. The rooms were neat and clean, with lots of books to read. It was a very cute and nicely designed place. There are plenty of restaurants around, and the sea breeze was nice while we enjoyed walking around. It's very difficult to say which we enjoyed the most: the stay itself or the warmth of their hospitality. This review would not be complete without mentioning Mrs. Ranjith, who is a woman of wisdom. We had long conversations with them, and they blessed us before we left. Looking forward to visiting them again."

This is our 2nd stay at Sha Villas by Ushaan. Overall, Five-star host and a brilliant apartment! Check in and check out is super easy, and Ushaan is a very communicative and thoughtful host. It is a beautiful , spacious place with great amenities. Immaculately clean and a very convenient location. We would book again for our next visit.

Nihal und Chandra sind sehr freundliche und herzliche Gastgeber. Nihal hat uns am Bahnhof abgeholt. Die Unterkunft ist aber auch zu Fuß gut erreichbar und ca. 10 min von Galle Fort entfernt. Es wurde alles mit viel liebe eingerichtet und auch beschriftet. Sogar eine Anleitung mit Hinweisen wurde für die Gäste erstellt. Nihal stellt einem auch einen Roller zur Verfügung mit Helm, für eine minimale Tagespauschale. Die Unterkunft war sauber. In der Umgebung bist du unter den Locals und kannst auch günstig Essen. Ein kleiner Supermarkt ist 5 min. entfernt. Aber auch ein Gemüse- und Obstmarkt gibt es in der Umgebung, falls man selber kochen möchte. Sollten wir wieder nach Sri Lanka reisen, dann kommen wir gerne wieder. Filiz und Stefan

Very worth for the price! Easy to walk to nearby beaches and cafes. Definitely hard to sleep in at all since the road gets quite loud with busses honking. The house is next to the forest/jungle so there are many small bugs like ants in the bathroom and sometimes the bedroom but it’s not so bad, just something to be aware of. The power went out a few times during our stay but apparently that’s pretty normal for this region especially if it is raining. Overall would still recommend for good location and price. Padma was able to do our laundry as well for a small fee
