Yuya’s home is beautiful and so worth the price! He provides delicious complimentary breakfast with your choice of drink and changes your sheets and towels throughout the day. The home is a beautiful private traditional house with a stunning garden in the center, and is well insulated with heaters when it gets cold. This is my second time staying here and in both trips this was the highlight of my stay! Thank you Yuya for the best experience!

Staying with Yuriko san at her home is an experience I will cherish. I loved my traditional Japanese room, sitting in the living room watching the fireplace, taking a long bath in her Hinoki bath tub. She is so generous with her time picking and dropping me in town but also went out of the way to get me to places I wanted to explore in the area. We had fun visiting a strawberry farm, a temple and a sake brewery. She treated me like family even sharing their dinner with me. And her breakfasts are amazing. I definitely want to go back in Autumn. Thank you Yuriko San for being so kind and generous.

Great location and in walking distance to Happo village. Shuttle bus to nearby slopes and staff very friendly and helpful.

Chieri en haar moeder en hun schattige hond zijn hele lieve hosts die er alles aan doen om je verblijf een echte authentieke Japanse ervaring te laten zijn. Hun huis is prachtig ingericht, ruim en voelt heel fijn en gastvrij. Het café en de biertuin van Chieri zijn ook zeker de moeite waard om te bezoeken. Het eten en drinken en het gratis Japanse ontbijt waren heerlijk. En als je nog authentieke Japanse souvenirs zoekt zijn die hier ook te vinden. Al met al een perfecte plek om even tot rust te komen na het bezoeken van de drukke steden als Kyoto en Osaka.

Très bel hébergement, on s'y sent comme à la maison. Yoko nousi avait même mis des fraises dans le frigos, très gentille attention de sa part. L'arrêt de bus est vraiment très près de la maison et permet de rejoindre le métro ou la gare très rapidement. Un super séjour, tout était parfait!!! Merci Yoko.

I loved my stay in Uji, absolutely fell in love with the town. The apartment's in a very convenient location, at the end of the main street, next to Uji bridge and Byodo-in Omotesando which is lined with shops and restaurants. Depending on which station you come from it's either 5 minutes or 10 minutes by foot. I liked my room (japanese-style, upstairs), it was nice and quiet. The host and his family are a quiet bunch, you barely notice them. They are out a lot but you can always contact them via message, f.e. to request a fresh towel or another blanket or whatever you need. You can use the lobby (= living room/common room) upstairs which has a couch and a fridge till around 11pm. My only complaint is that the downstairs shower had a bit of a mold problem (but there's an upstairs shower too). Also, they have a dog (you barely see or hear it, but you can smell it in the entrance area), so if you have dog allergy beware of that.

食事も部屋も大満足でした。初回利用だったのですが、宿までのアクセスの説明であったり、到着後のコミュニケーションもとても丁寧で気持ちよかったです。 また機会があれば宿泊させていただきたいです。

One of the highlights of this Japan trip was our stay at this place. I was drawn to this booking not only because of the place but of the good reviews about the owners. As the place looked as beautiful as the pictures in the posting, the couple was also as described by those who have stayed there. They are the definition of Japanese hospitality & kindness. Our morning talks with them, with their great breakfast, became part of our daily itinerary. A stay here is heartwarming and this is one place that I truly want to go back to on my next Tokyo trip. Motoko was very hospitable, and used some English with us since we couldn't speak much Japanese. She also made us breakfast-to-order each day which was *amazing*. The overall environment felt warm and welcoming, and me and my two co-guests were very comfortable. You should know that this is someone's home with a shared kitchen/living room. You and your fellow guests have a more private living space which includes a washing area, bedrooms and other necessities. (and the host has her own space upstairs as well, so you still have a fair amount of privacy regardless). As long as you're ok with that, this will be a great stay!

This guest house is will be the best choice. The host tommy is very kind and mindful. He speaks english very well, so someone who didn't speak japanese will be satified. Also, the domitory bed was very nice. It's cozy and comfotable. And Tommy will give you breakfast If you request. The toast was tasty. I recommend this guest house, you will not regret your choice. Memorable stay, Yoshino is very beautiful. Our hosts were helpful, nice and responsive. We felt at home.

Eine wirklich tolle Unterkunft! Wir hatten das Deluxe Zimmer mit Balkon und Blick von oben auf den kleinen Garten. Leckeres Frühstück, sehr nette Gastgeber und ein wunderschönes altehrwürdiges haus. Man kann sogar Fahrräder ausleihen und die Gegend erkunden. Das Haus ist ruhig gelegen aber mit dem Bus ist man schnell überall. Klare Empfehlung!

The hosts here are amazing! They helped inform me about how to get around, and to the places I wanted to go to, as well as give me recommendations. They went above and beyond, and we're very helpful and supportive. They are very kind people, and I am very thankful for them. This was my first trip, so I learnt a lot. The area is a very nice area as well. I recommend it.

This little place is a gem and the hosts are amazing! Though you can’t ski in/out, the hosts will give you a lift to any resort for the day and pick you up. They can also drive you to the restaurants in Akakura town. You can even order dinner in and the food was delicious! I would stay here again if I was visiting the area in the future.

An amazing experience with an amazing family. I had great time with Chiyako and her kids. Very kind and very friendly person. My 2 weeks vacation at her home was the best time of my life and I will definitely visit Japan again. Delicious food, bautiful location and her home, but most importantly, family feeling around her presence. It was very difficult for me to leave and I miss them already. Thank you so much for this experience and hopefully, we will meet soon again!
