We loved the beautiful cottage which was clean and comfortable. Jill responded very quickly when we asked questions. The surroundings were peaceful and interesting. we enjoyed watching the boats on the canal in front of the house. There were plenty of lovely places to visit nearby. We would highly recommend this property and will be happy to come again in the near future.

We loved our short stay in the wee cottage. It was very cozy, clean, and homey. We would happily return for another stay, and highly recommend for anyone looking for a quiet rural accommodation. Admittedly there isn’t much in the immediate vicinity for food or activities, but plenty to do just a short drive away. Diane was excellent recommending some places to visit and eat. If this catches your eye - book it!

Beautiful cottage right in the heart of Port Ellen. very comfortable and homely, with everything we needed. Comfy beds, well equipped kitchen. Anne was a great host, very responsive to messages and arranged for us to get access early to have our bags, so that we could go out and enjoy our first day on the island, having arrived on early morning flight. she messaged to check we'd got in ok and see whether we needed anything. Can't fault it - would stay again.

We saw the Northern lights during our stay, and it was nice to lie in bed and look up at the stars through the bedroom velux window. We enjoyed walking and cycling in the area and took part in the Parkrun on Saturday morning(9.30am) from Crinan along the canal path. Clare reminded us to take logs and kindling for the wood burning stove, so we were cosy and warm. A very comfy cottage!

Carradale is well off the beaten track, a hidden gem with a friendly local community. The Little Postbox was a beautiful cottage to stay in, we had an amazing week seeing the local sights and stunning coastline with only a ten minute walk to the local beach. The whole area was so beautiful and peaceful and we definitely recommend this cottage as a base. It was immaculate, well equipped, very comfortable and cosy. Annik was at hand at any time, particularly when just next door in the salon! Thoroughly recommended.

First floor flat only a 10-minute walk along the harbour front to the town centre. Fabulous view over the loch. Homely, comfortable, cosy and quiet. Responsive and friendly host. One minor issue dealt with quickly and effectively. Would return and would recommend.

TL;DR - This is the best Airbnb I’ve ever stayed in. Linda and Colin took the time to meet and chat with us. They gave us recommendations and had a fire going so the cottage was warm and cozy when we arrived. The cottage was very comfortable, the views immaculate, and had everything we needed for an ideal stay. It is centrally located on Islay and you can get anywhere on island in under 25 min. You’re right on the edge of Bowmore (the town), Co-op is just down the street, and several restaurants less than 5 min away (including the Bowmore Distillery). I cannot recommend it enough. My husband, dogs and I have probably stayed in 30 different cottages in the past few years. Honestly this is in my top 3.. maybe even the best. Why? The location, quiet, gorgeous, stunning walks. The garden, totally dog friendly. The kitchen was well supplied, and a breakfast pack. Owners around but not intrusive. Top tip go to the fishmongers in lochgihead (tues - sat) for some top notch seafood.
