Experience the joy of staying in an off grid solar powered house. This modern light filled 2 bedroom house with open plan living area offers spectacular ever changing views down the valley and across the sea to Kangaroo Island. The house stands alone on 2.5 acres. Secluded and private country property with 'walled' secret garden, olive grove, orchard, native and exotic trees. Generous living area with polished wooden floors throughout, a cook's kitchen and floor to ceiling glass doors. The main bedroom opens onto the deck and the garden beyond or the stars above. Enjoy the hot water outdoor shower under the sun or stars. (yes, we do also have an indoor shower) Watch the wildlife - native birds, kangaroos and the occasional echidna through the floor to ceiling picture window. There is also a resident family of hares. A short drive to Morgans Beach at Cape Jervis, Second Valley and Rapid Bay beaches. Discover the varied walks within Deep Creek Conservation Park with its stunning coastal scenery, or explore beyond to Tunkalilla, Waitpinga and Parsons Beaches along Range Rd to Victor Harbor. Visit the beautiful Raywood Nursery growing and selling exotic and native plants 5mins away on Tappanappa Rd, with a 1000yr old Grass tree in the carpark growing near the carpark. Closed Tuesday & Wednesdays. We have a dam on the property, which may or may not have water, so parents with young children will need to supervise them at all times.

Our home is large and well-appointed - it offers space, privacy and all creature comforts. There's a slow combustion fire for the cooler months (we provide wood ), a fully equipped kitchen, multiple lounge areas, outdoor eating/deck with Webber BBQ, a dedicated TV room, 2 bathrooms, and a laundry. You'll also find free WIFI, board games, books and table tennis!

Saltwater Holiday House

Saltwater is a purpose-built holiday house located on 20 ha (50 acres) of bushland overlooking the tranquil waters of Pelican Lagoon. Completed in 2019, the house is light-filled and airy, with north-facing windows and deck capturing the winter sun and wonderful views of the lagoon and surrounding bush. The house is simply but tastefully decorated with bamboo flooring, comfortable furnishings and beds, a well equipped kitchen and spacious living area. The nearest neighbors are 1 km away.

Tangerine Dream -70's beach shack & nature retreat

A lovingly restored 70’s beach shack perched on the edge of the iconic Deep Creek national park. The property is set up to maximise the beauty of the surrounding environment: laze in the hammock, cook a meal over the roaring coals in the fire pit, have the best sleep of your life in the cozy beds lined with French linen or bathe under the amazing night sky. The possibilities for your stay are endless but one thing is certain - you won't want to wake up from your own Tangerine Dream.

Duckcottage: quaint stone cottage

Duckcottage is a five room stone settlers cottage built in 1853 on five acres of bushland at Second Valley. The property is now a refuge for wildlife so it is NOT suitable for dogs or cats. We call it 'duck' cottage because of the height of the doorways. It has been lovingly restored, and the habitat for birds and native animals has been established through revegetation. The property is secluded (there are no neighbours in sight) but it is a short drive to the beach.

A Room with a View@ Cape Jervis

This cute weekender is situated on the edge of a small fishing village, Cape Jervis (on the mainland) gateway to Kangaroo Island. Whether your heading to the island or leaving, this is perfect location to stop, unwind, revive before you continue your journey. Or you may want to trek a section of the Heysen Trail, or trek through Deep Creek National Park, or just do nothing and relax. NOTE: currently No wifi (available from 15th Jan 2026) Mobile reception is great.

Situated on the water's edge on incredible Kangaroo Island, you can marvel at the abundance of local wildlife including kangaroos, dolphins, penguins and much more all from your private deck. Infinity is located five minutes out of Penneshaw where the ferry docks, and is 200 metres from the quaint Christmas Cove Marina. This Marina is perfect for the keen fisherman or if you have your own boat to launch.

The Passage Kangaroo Island

The Passage is an off grid couples cabin with outdoor wood fired bath. Only 10 minutes from the ferry, the cabin is situated on a sheep farm and nestled into the rolling hills with panoramic ocean views. Your stay will be eco friendly, but you’ll still enjoy all the creature comforts whilst experiencing the island’s rugged natural beauty and native wildlife.

A secluded retreat hidden amongst the grass trees. Grass Tree Gully is nestled on traditional Ngarrindjeri land neighbouring Deep Creek Conservation Park on the southern most tip of the Fleurieu Peninsula. The cabin has stunning views from the deck through a valley of pristine bush that meets the ocean and across to Kangaroo Island.

Samphire, Absolute Waterfront

Samphire is a stunning holiday house that is located directly on the waters edge, with incredible views across the American River Channel to Island Beach. There is no other house in this position. An ideal spot for bird watchers, nature lovers, fisherfolk or a family just wanting to hide away for a while.
