Die Unterkunft von Helgi liegt mitten im Golden Circle, d.h. Geysir, Gullfoss, Geobad Laugarvatn Fontana, Geobad Hidden Lagoon Fludir und Phingvellir sind alle super zu erreichen. Das Haus ist ideal für Familien. Auch einen Hot Tub gibt es, der etwas abseits zwischen den Bäumen steht. Das ist wichtig, da Hot Tubs generell sehr laut sind wenn sie heizem oder blubbern. Das kann nachts sehr stören, da Vibratonsgeräusche leicht übertagen werden. Bei Helgi ist es eben nicht, da der Hot Tub nicht auf der Terrasse steht. Wichtig für Aurora Hunter: Der Standort des Hauses ist ideal für Polarlichter, da man schnell auf offener Ebene ohne Lichter ist. Wir waren jetzt schon das 2. Mal bei Helgi und können alles nur empfehlen.

I definitely recommend this beautiful and cozy cottage with a thermal pool, surrounded by beautiful Icelandic nature. The owners were always very friendly and helpful 😊

This is a beautiful house with very nice surroundings and mountain views. The house had everything we needed for a pleasant and enjoyable stay. Being there was peaceful and the silence was amazing. The house is well insulated and was warm, despite the cold northerly wind we had, very nice floor heating and fire place. The house is an architectural marvel filled with very nice artwork.

WOW! That is the best description of Geirthruder's place. Maybe even more perfect than the photos. A perfect location to easily check out the Golden Circle The layout of her house is great with the living area dividing the two bedroom areas. Easy entrance, over-the-top kitchen, cozy woodburning fireplace, presitine in every way.... and THE VIEW!!! And the quiet!!! We cooked a good bit, just for fun. There is an amazing food market just a few minutes away (which was a highlight of our stay), Little Farmers Market. Staying at Geirthrudur's is a must!!!

Super dejligt hus. Vi var der med 3 store børn og mine forældre og der var fint plads til alle. Der var alt hvad vi havde brug for og meget dejligt varm udendørs spa. Der var dejligt varmt i huset og fint rent. Meget lækkert sengetøj og senge, og dejligt med vaskemaskine og opvasker. Meget sød og hjælpsom vært. Gåafstand til at se på heste. Kan klart anbefales.

This place is an absolute gem! We spent thoroughly enjoyed this secluded home. The hot tub was perfect for enjoying an evening outside. The wood burning stove kept us warm and cozy. Everything was wonderful.

This house is amazing… it stood out among 3 airbnbs we used this trip… comfortable, well stocked (foosball, great kitchen amenities, quality towels linens and beds) and in an exquisite location on a small cliff with great panoramic views of far-off snow capped mountains. Hosts were responsive when we tripped the circuit breaker and helped us quickly get power back. I have literally zero complaints and so many things i lived about this house!!! Many thanks to these gracious hosts!

This was our second stay there and found four more days woth of new and exciting adventures in the area. We highly recommend a day trip to see and hike both Gluggafoss and Stora Dimon in a day, drive to the Reykjadalur thermal river, explore Selfoss and even drive to Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon. The pool in Hvolsvöllur is a great way to relax and meet people. You will love this place!

It's our third trip to Iceland and this is our favourite Airbnb so far. The surroundings is beautiful and quiet. The house itself is wonderful, comfortable and very clean. The hosts have really put in a lot of thought and effort to ensure that we have a great experience and want for nothing. Highly recommended!

Es war eine tolle Unterkunft. Wir haben uns gleich sehr wohl gefühlt. Alles war so wie beschrieben nur noch schöner. Die Lage der Wohnung war toll und man kann von dort viele Ausflüge machen. Es war alles sehr sauber, die Betten waren super und der Pool außen war ein Traum. Die Kommunikation mit dem Gastgeber war sehr unkompliziert. Toll war, dass wir von einem vereinbarten Treffpunkt zur Wohnung gebracht wurden, da sie nicht ganz einfach zu finden ist. Am Abend konnten wir aufgrund der Lage tolle Polarlichter sehen. Wir würden sofort wieder in dieses schöne Haus fahren! Danke!
