Peter and sue were amazing, meeting both dogs as soon as we turned up followed by Peter was a delight! The place was super beautiful, quiet and peaceful. The amazing ice cream from sue was the perfect cherry on-top in-front of the outdoor fire. 10 of 10 would recommend and will come back, thank you for having us and being so helpful with our stay, was an amazing trip and farewell.

Really nice place with a lot of room. Photos were representative of the site. Easy access to the lake, Mangakino village, club and 4 square. Ilana was quick to respond when I couldn't work the dang stove top (induction top, not my specialty). Great little fire pit, the marshmallow roasting was a hit. Also, the corner section, with the deck facing the footpath makes it a nice social place to be. Had a chat or a wave to a few locals (heading to or coming back from the club!). Also, has great views of the rugby fields, where apparently a few different clubs practice. Overall, great place to stay, very clean and easy to use and helpful host.

The hobbit hole was magic! Exactly what I needed. The more time you spent there the more you realised how much time and thought had been poured into it. Sheryn was so warm and friendly, going out of her way to pick me some fresh fruit! Would love to return at some point! Would highly recommend to anyone who needs some time out.

The house is beautifully set up with fantastic amenities, including a private spa and comfortable decking area—perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring or just soaking in the peaceful surroundings. The bean bags added an extra touch of comfort, making it easy to lounge and enjoy the outdoor space. One of the highlights was the separate area that offered privacy and tranquility, ideal for a quiet retreat. The host was incredibly welcoming and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed during our stay. A big plus for me was the property's eco-friendly features, such as the solar power and EV charging station. It was great to know we were staying in a place that's both sustainable and modern. Overall, this is a perfect spot for a relaxing and environmentally conscious vacation. I’ll definitely be coming back!

Such a fabulous little hide away. Highly recommend to anyone looking to get in touch with nature and have a break from the city - the cabin was quaint and cosy!

This stay was everything I love about AirBnB. Lovely hosts, a beautiful quiet home in stunning surrounds and every little extra and thoughtful touch you could imagine. We had three nights here and found have happily stayed for a week. Perfectly set up for a family. And two lovely horses at the garden fence. Would happily recommend to anyone.

The place is stunning better than the photos, very peaceful place and private too. Kathy was very helpful and friendly. Highly recommend 😊
