A unique urban loft that is lose to Wild Mountain; Trollhaugen; Festival Theater; the Ice Age Trailhead; Interstate Park in WI and MN; the Gandy Dancer Trail; the Woolly Mountain Bike Trail; Cyclova Bike Shop; the St Croix River; Osceola; cafe, bars, and small grocery store within walking distance.. You’ll love my place because of the high ceilings, the uniqueness, the location, & the private cafe table outside.
This is a small studio apartment with a private bathroom with toilet, vanity, and stand-up shower. The thermostat controls for the heat are in the bathroom. AC unit for the main room. There is a small kitchenette, dresser, hangers, TV, Wi-Fi, and access to a stone patio. Right off of main street in downtown St Croix Falls.
The Copper Room is a small loft in the Luminaries building. Also in Luminaries is newly-opened Bothy Cafe (open 11 am - 8 pm)! Bothy serves lunch & dinner and is a fine coffee shop as well. We are within walking distance to other restaurants, the theater, trails, gas station, small grocery, pharmacy, hospital, stores, antiques, etc. Very cute, quaint tourist town of Saint Croix Falls! Next to Taylors Falls as well!
  • This cute little home away from home is adorable and cozy for a little wknd get away. I stayed for almost 3 weeks due to liking it so much. Amy is a wonderful host. If you are vegan/vegetarian, you must try to yummy Indian restaurant next door!

  • The Copper Room at the Luminaries in downtown St. Croix Falls was perfect for our week-long getaway! It's cozy, clean, and well-maintained. The kitchenette was great for us to have a light breakfast or a little heavier brunch before heading out on our adventures in this beautiful area. It worked well for a light supper also, especially if we were getting back after some of the main restaurants and cafes were closed. The bed was very comfortable. There is a good amount of cupboard and dresser space which worked well for us. We were happy to see that the small dorm style fridge had a decent sized freezer as well. It was very easy to check in and come and go with the key code lock. Our adventures took us hiking around Cascade Falls in Osceola, in Interstate Park on both the MN and WI sides, down the St. Croix River in a paddleboat one day and a canoe the next, a lot of good local food, and a lot of beautiful countryside as we explored cities, towns, and scenic attractions. We were blessed with good weather! We even made it up to the Danbury area for a little history lesson at Forts Folle Avoine. Food spots we tried and enjoyed: Dalles Cafe and Coffee House (St. Croix Falls), The Village Pizzeria (Dresser), The Watershed Cafe (Osceola), The Drive-In (Taylors Falls)

  • This was great choice! It was exactly what we needed.

  • Amy was very nice and accommodating, but I was a little disappointed with this experience. The room was not worth the price I paid. It was very small and uncomfortable, and had a very odd smell. We had to leave the windows open the entire time, because of the smell and there was no AC. The walls were thin, which didn't help with the noise. It was very loud and difficult to sleep. The location was decent and there were some cute shops and restaurants nearby. I wouldn't recommend staying more than a couple days.

  • Thank you!

  • Cute, cozy place perfect for a few nights away. Bed is comfy, plenty of natural light, and quiet. The location is great. Plenty of hiking around, and an excellent breakfast joint right next door.

  • We loved how close the room was to all the great activities the St Croix area has to offer. The bed is super soft and the room has everything you could possibly need. We enjoyed the Keurig machine, little outdoor patio, and air conditioning. The TV was great for when it was too hot to explore the area. The room is within walking distance to great eateries and cute shops. Amy is a great host and communicated with me before and during our stay to check in. If you are sensitive to noise as you sleep, Amy has provided earplugs. Great value and great location!

  • Amy was a great host. She messaged me a few days prior to let me know about a big event going on in town to ensure it wouldn't affect our travel plans. The room was very cute and perfect for what we needed.

Orchard House is one of three dwellings on Philadelphia Community Farm. A non-profit organization since 1989, PCF operates Buttermilk Falls CSA & Folk School Retreat. Orchard House was moved onto the property in 2003 and subsequently renovated as a place to host visiting groups. Polk County ID #76756
Orchard House is a single family home on a community farm surrounded by 300+ acres in conservation. Lots of natural light, a full kitchen, three season porch, wood floors and an inspiring library make this a homey stay that can accommodate a large group. Each of 3 large bedrooms is outfitted with a pair trundle bunk beds. Each of the 2 smaller room contains a trundle twin. That's 22 single beds.
Small town Osceola has the basics you'll need: grocery, liquor & hardware stores, farm-to-table restaurant, Art Barn, a minor league baseball team, bowling alley, and of course, bars (it's WI after all). There's a beautiful waterfall, Cascade Falls, in town. Osceola is not far from Trollhaugen, Franconia Sculpture Park, Interstate State Park, and several wineries.
  • Our family of 13 (6 adults and 7 kids) had a wonderful time at Orchard House. It was much more than we had expected! The house was large enough that we could all spread out comfortably with a well-outfitted kitchen and plenty of gathering space. We made good use of the outdoor tables and bonfire space. More than anything, we were totally blown away by the hiking on the property and daily took hiking groups to the waterfall, natural springs and white barn. Our kids (and us!) loved the opportunity to visit the farm animals and we loved having the opportunity to purchase farm fresh produce and eggs! Christina was a wonderful host - warm and communicative! We celebrated the 4th of July at Orchard House and would definitely come again!

  • Orchard House and Philadelphia Farm are so wonderful! I came here to celebrate my 40th birthday with an overnight and a slow-paced day with a group of friends and family. Our time comfortable and relaxing... the kitchen had everything we needed, people had fun looking through the library and meeting the animals, and Buttermilk Falls was gorgeous as always. It was perfect and Christina was such a wonderful host. I can't wait to stay again!

  • The Orchard House was perfect for our retreat! The welcoming atmosphere of the farm, the bunkhouse, our hosts, and their amazing farm dog Namo allowed 17 strangers to develop a sense of community and become friends over the course of a weekend. I would highly recommend the Orchard House to anyone looking for a getaway nestled in some of most beautiful nature in Minnesota or Wisconsin. Our group spent ample time relishing in the wild beauty of the waterfall, the natural spring, the lush woods, and the scenic oak savanna.

  • It was a great stay and my friends and I especially loved the dog Almo and the kittens. We did the hike, which was great. When the August temperature got unseasonably cold the house got pretty cold, but we contacted Christina who turned on the boiler right away for us. Overall it was a great stay.

  • I stumbled upon this listing on Air B&B as I was trying to find a location that could accommodate a large group of girls for a bachelorette party near the Twin Cities. Christina was nothing but helpful throughout the entire planning process, answering my many emails and even making special accommodations so that we could check in early. I appreciated quick responsiveness and it eased my mind going into this big weekend! The house and property are super adorable. This wasn't going to be your average crazy bachelorette party, so I wanted something that was just a cool place where we could all celebrate the bride and this one was perfect. The only downside was that the house had quite a lot of ladybugs throughout, and there were actually even a few wasps in the house (I'm sure just a side effect of being out in the country, and I am going to mention to Christina that they might need to look for a nest). Since we were only there overnight it didn't bother us that much, but if we were staying there much longer I could see it being an issue. The other thing that didn't work was the wifi, but Christina did her best to troubleshoot and was able to offer the option to at least come to her farmhouse and use theirs if we needed it (which we didn't really anyways). We appreciated the full kitchen and the fact that everyone was able to have their own bed. There is a nice gathering space and yard with bonfire pit. We brought in some vendors such as a yoga instructor and entertainment, and this was not a problem at all. Probably one of our favorite parts of the whole experience was their dog, Namo, who is quite large but super friendly. As we were exploring the property, he took on the role as our guide and led us through the trail for a nice hike. What a pup!

  • I had a wonderful stay at Orchard House. I loved the farm setting and the beautiful trails around the property, in addition to awesome hiking a mere 20-minutes away in Interstate State Park. The house itself was comfortable, clean, and simple with the charm of an old farmhouse. The library was also great! It was perfect for me traveling solo but would also be a really nice retreat spot for groups. Christina was very helpful and Namo was an excellent trail guide.

  • We had a great weekend at the Orchard House. Christina is always quick to respond to anything I needed.

  • Great place for a large group. Easily sleeps 22 people, though it's a tight squeeze in the rest of the house if you want to all be in one room together, or during meal time. Would be much easier in the warmer months as you could head outside. Christina is great and the property is amazing! Would recommend and would stay here again.

Our place is good for couples, solo adventurers, and business travelers. You'll love our place because our road takes you along the scenic St. Croix River. Our rustic log cabin echoes back to 1858, with a gentle expansion in 1992. Come and cozy up in an honest place where you can tuck in for a time, or venture out into Taylors Falls for: -Canoeing and Kayaking -Hiking and Biking Trails -Rock Climbing -Summer Water Park -Miniature Golfing -Winter Skiing, Snowboarding and Tubing -Wineries
Our cabin offers a newly remodeled lower level for our guests. This is private and includes a bathroom with heated floors, shower and claw foot bath tub. We also provide a small refrigerator, microwave, electric water pot, French press with offerings. Fresh fruit in season for breakfast with hot cereal or granola, yogurt and a snack or two to snatch for the road.
Our neighborhood is spread out and has both summer cabins and year round homes. Again, our cabin is secluded and there is no view of a cabin or home in sight.
  • Beautiful, historic log cabin. Ned and Connie are lovely hosts. Use the clawfoot bathtub!

  • What a delightful space. Old cabin made stunningly new! Enjoyed our solitude and the surroundings. Everything was so clean and our needs were anticipated

  • Loved the house.the location was great the hosts are amazing and very helpful and kind.would recommend there place in a heart beat.

  • My boyfriend and I were lucky enough to be Ned and Connie's first Airbnb guests - and we had such a lovely time! The home is gorgeous - they've added on to a beautiful log cabin. It's even better than the pics! We stayed in the downstairs unit - which was very comfortable. They were kind enough to start the stove in the log cabin out back, and we enjoyed spending time out there as well. I can not say enough good things about their hospitality. It feels like a perfect little bed and breakfast (they even had fresh milk and granola for us) and a great getaway. Would highly recommend - and we'll probably be back ourselves the next time we are in the Midwest :)

  • The room was so cozy and comfortable! The area is beautiful and there are lots of parks and waterways for outdoor activities. Ned and Connie's cabin is the perfect place to come back to and relax after a day of hiking or canoeing . We really enjoyed our stay!

  • Beautiful people and beautiful environment. Relaxing retreat and outdoor adventures. Ned and Connie provided detailed information about where to hike in the area. They were gracious hosts.

  • Ned and Connie’s place is so cozy and was the perfect spot for a personal retreat. The claw foot tub is amazing for warming up after a winter hike! The location is perfect, just a few miles outside of Taylor’s Falls on a scenic road by the river. Above all, the hospitality was incredible and I felt so welcome and cared for. I’d highly recommend staying here!

Come spend a night away from it all yet within arm’s reach of it all at Osceola’s largest, most historic estate. Wonderfully nestled in the St. Croix Valley, this apartment’s location will not disappoint. You’ll be a short distance from all that the Twin Cities has to offer, a brief walk away from beautiful downtown Osceola, and close enough to explore the great outdoors. You’ll get a cozy and comfortable layout, generous amenities, an attached garage, and assistance just a message away!
Upstairs carpeted apartment with great functional commons space in quiet neighborhood. Attached to former frontier doctor’s residence built in 1891.
Osceola is a great small town with booming businesses. We strive to make every newcomer welcome whether it be Airbnb guests or new neighbors—all in the name of small town hospitality. Although large box stores aren’t part of our local culture, we’re brilliantly situated 10 minutes south of St. Croix Falls which offers easy one-stop shops, 30 minutes from larger towns such as Hudson, WI and Forest Lake, MN, and an easy 1 hour from the bustling downtowns of the sprawling Twin Cities. Here’s the breakdown— One block away from laundry, two blocks from the grocery store, and a couple more from unique downtown shops, restaurants, Osceola’s Falls, and our very own dinner train. A couple minute drive out of town to Wisconsin rustic scenic trails, the Wisconsin-Minnesota St. Croix River border, Interstate Park, and what Wisconsin is best known for—rolling hills and homegrown agriculture and farms. One hour drive to busy St. Paul and Minneapolis, Minnesota.
  • The host canceled this reservation 4 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.

  • Great location, really nice space and beautiful hosts. They went above and beyond. I would highly recommend their home.
