This is a bar that has live music in the warmer months. It has several outdoor areas and is very popular with the locals. Next door to Tricky Fish, where you can get basic beach bar food.

The Red Carpet is a “dive bar,” but still very popular with local political figures and reporters... they serve dinner on Thursday nights (usually something they cook on the grill)... but you have to call ahead. There isa large patio out back if you want to sit outside.

The Red Carpet is an institution in Charleston. Go there to see and be seen . . . in what you might conclude is the most unlikely place!
