Founded in 1707 by German traders. Calvinist Geneva allowed religious services of the Protestant Lutheran faith & a dedicated church building under the condition of not having visual competition (with a church tower, recognizable as a church) with the Cathedral nearby. German-speaking service is generally held on Sundays at 9h30; English-speaking service at 11h00. Since the city of Geneva is hosting Headquarters of several religious and ecumenical world organisations, there is a rich mix and involvement from various countries and cultures (songs, art, etc.), upholding human-rights and equality.
