Espacios

The name of this bar and restaurant—Espacios, which means spaces—tells you everything. The entire building was once someone’s home—and parts of it still are—and each individual room is used differently. In one room people are dancing, in another they are drinking, and out on the patio people are just enjoying conversation and dining. They make two versions of a Cuba libre, a classic Cuban version (rum, cola, and lime), and a Mexican version called Cuba quemada (burnt Cuba). It’s made with Santiago rum and cola and served in a glass rimmed with lemon juice and salt.
