Worth the visit to get the taste of local produce - Oranges, almonds, figs and other delicacies - and of course be amazed by the offer of different fresh fish and seafood.

Next to Lagos Bus Station, every Saturday morning until 13:00 (1 pm) you can visit the Traditional Market of fruit, vegetables… of local farmers. It's called "Mercado de Levante de Lagos“. -Also on Wednesdays the Market it’s called “Viv’ O Mercado”. It has mostly biological products: 17h00 to 22h00 (5 pm to 10 pm) — from April to October 17h00 to 21h00 (5 pm to 9 pm) — from November to March There you can find a fair amount of local and foreigner producers of biologic / organic products and ask them for tips about vegetarian / vegan Restaurants or Shops in Lagos. I think they might be of great help.

The farmers market happens every saturday morning. If want to cook with local, organic products, you must visist this market. Or just for the pleasure of breathing into this nostalgic atmosphere. You can get organic honey, fresh homemade breads, local organic veggies, nuts, fruits and much more...
