The amazing landscape includes marshlands and stunning dunes. Large waves at the Coast Guard beach creates great opportunities for boogie-boarding and surfing. The parking at the beach is not very large and is for residents only, however, non-residents can park at the nearby Little Creek parking lot and hop on the shuttle that runs every few minutes. A boardwalk runs right to the beach making it accessible for the disabled. There are lifeguards, showers, restrooms, and even handicap chairs available at the beach.

Coast guard beach has one of the best views on the Cape. From the dunes you can see the Nauset Inlet, roughly a mile south. The landscape of Coast Guard beach was drastically changed by the Blizzard of 1978, wiping away everything you just imagined. Now it is the unspoiled beauty of the Nauset Marsh you get to enjoy as you pass seals and lobster buoys! During peak season the parking area is closed to all but park staff and visitors who are disabled, and access is provided by shuttle bus from the Little Creek parking area (across from the Doane Area). Although the parking lot at Coast Guard Beach is open the remainder of the year, parking is limited.

Major access public beach with handicap accessible beach wheel chairs and mat access. Fun to walk to the far right end of the beach to see seals at the mouth of the tidal river and salt marshes
