Best Gourmet Dining (time to blow it out!): Trois Mec (17 min walk) -- Ludo Lefebvre’s LA flagship. A tough reservation, and we like the bistro next door better, but it won’t disappoint.

Winner, several, best new restaurant in the country: 2013. French. Outrageously good. Book in advance. Be really nice. Take any available booking.

One of the premiere restaurants in LA with TV chef Ludo. Really cool atmosphere and reservations are a must. The food is not my favorite but you should try it at least once.

Chef Ludo's restaurant and one of my absolute favorites in LA Difficult to get in, you need to purchase tickets 2 weeks in advance. Set tasting menu $$$$
