S. Forno, in via Santa Monaca, is a historic bakery in the Santo Spirito district. Reopened in 2015 with a new look: the style is shabby chic, halfway between an old shop and a French boulangerie. There are many products on sale - fruit juices, pasta, preserves - and above all the extraordinary selection of bread with different doughs, leavenings and formats. They range from the "classic" long-leavened-sourdough-baked-in-wood-oven to pizzas, focaccias, cecine and obviously Florentine flatbreads. There are many pastry proposals: muffins, scones, frangipane cakes, salted caramel tarts, carrot and hazelnut plumcakes. Ideal for breakfast, snacks during the day.
